The Mevagissey Bay Breakfast

There is no better way to start the day than with a plentiful tasty breakfast. Included in your room rate is a choice of an a la carte cooked breakfast and a generous continental selection.

We use top quality ingredients and wherever possible locally sourced. Our eggs are locally sourced and our sausages and bacon come from a local butcher James Kittow in Par. We are proud to serve Cornish tea and coffee, alongside homemade granola and a selection of cereals, pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt.

The view from our dining room is absolutely gorgeous, the room is light and airy and decorated in a style that is a nod to our Cotswold heritage, making for a relaxing start to your day.

We cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.

Breakfast is served from 8:00am – 9:30am daily.

Cream Teas

Every afternoon we offer a selection of homemade scones and sweet options.

Afternoon food service is either on the decked terrace or in the bar, both of which take in the breath-taking views across Mevagissey Bay between 3:00pm - 5:00pm, 7 days a week.

Our cream teas are delicious, each day there is a choice of freshly baked sweet and savoury scones. Our sweet scones served with locally made Boddingtons strawberry jam (Jam first of course!) and Cornish clotted cream, while our savoury scones have their own accompaniments depending on the flavour.

We cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.

Bar Baskets

For guests who would rather have a lighter snack we serve our savoury bar baskets between 5-7pm every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the bar or on the decked terrace.

We serve crowd pleasers such as loaded potato skins, calamari and chicken wings.

Evening Meals at Mevagissey Bay Hotel

Unwind with a delicious evening meal in our gorgeous dining room, available Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings, between 6.00pm and 7.30pm, exclusively for residents of the hotel.

Our select menu features seasonal, locally sourced dishes, prepared with care.     Prime loin of cod, battered and deep fried served with mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce

  • Fish Pie
    Cod, salmon and prawns in a creamy sauce, topped with mash potatoes, served with seasonal vegetables
  • Beef Bourguignon
    Slow cooked beef, shallots and mushrooms in red wine sauce, served with mash potatoes and seasonal vegetables
  • Mediterranean Tart (VG)
    Crisp basil and maize pastry case filled with a base of slow roasted tomato sauce topped with grilled courgettes, peppers, red onion and cherry tomatoes, finished with a basil and pumpkin seed crumb, served with roast potatoes, vegetables and spicy mayo
  • Pesto Pasta
    Fusilli pasta, blended with fresh homemade pesto, roasted Mediterranean vegetables, served with our chunky garlic bread
Desserts
  • Ice Cream Pie
    Ice cream mixed with fresh raspberries on a buttery biscuit base served with chocolate sauce and chocolate shavings
  • Lovely Lovely Cake
    A fruit, nut and biscuit fridge cake, served with clotted cream or vanilla ice cream
  • Coffee Meringue
    Coffee meringues served with a rich chocolate sauce and clotted cream
  • Chocolate Tart (VG)
    A crisp pastry case filled with Belgian chocolate ganache served with raspberry sorbet.
Cheese Board
  • A selection of 3 cheeses, served with homemade onion chutney and crackers

The Bar

Our light and airy bar with comfortable sofas and chairs has gorgeous views across Mevagissey Bay serves wines, spirits, ales, lagers, ciders and soft drinks as well as tea and coffee, many of which are locally sourced here in Cornwall.

The bar and terrace is open to residents from 3:00pm -10:00pm daily. Our fully licensed terrace is also open to non-residents from 3:00pm - 7:00pm daily.
